The Solution: Use the passive voice
Examples: Problem: I lost the keys. How else can you say it? The keys were lost.
Problem: Jimmy threw a rock through the neighbor's window. How else can you say it? A rock was thrown through the neighbor's window.
Problem: Suzy hit Phil in the face. How else can you say it? Phil was hit in the face.
