When Should You Use the Word, "Yet"?

1. When you ask a question
a. Is he there yet?
b. Has she finished dinner yet?
c. Has the rain stopped yet?
d. Have they finished dinner yet?

2. When you make a negative statement
a. He hasn't arrived there yet.
b. She hasn't finished yet.
c. The rain hasn't stopped yet.
d. They haven't finished dinner yet.

What kinds of situations do we use YET in?

We use YET when we want to say that we expect something to happen but it still hasn't happened.
