FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

CLASS INFORMATION

When is the first day of class?

You can start at any time.  You don’t need to wait!

What if I miss a day of class?

At almost all schools, when you miss a day, you lose that day.  But here, it's different!  If you tell us the days you will be missing when you register, there is no charge.  If you miss a day and want to buy it back, the price is $7.  If you miss two or more days in a row, the price is still $7.  If you miss a day, then come back, and then miss another day, it is $14 to buy those days back.  If you have questions, please ask!

Do you use books?

Our ESL 1, 2, 3 & 4 classes use books. Each class uses both a main book and a workbook.  You can purchase them from us for $55 (for both together).

Can I bring a friend to the class?

Yes, you can. Your friend can sit in with you for one session.

Can I suggest a new class?

Absolutely! You may suggest a new class by filling out our Class Interest form.  Or tell one of our office assistants.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Do I need to bring any ID?

No, you don’t.

Do I need to make an appointment to register for classes?

No, you don’t.  But we recommend that you set up an appointment if you want us to tell you what your level is.

Can I try a class without paying first?

Yes. If you don’t want to continue after your first session, your class is free.  If you want to take the class, the first session will be included in your price.

PAYMENT INFO

Do you have a payment plan?

Yes. You can pay half of the total price plus $7 before your second day. You will need to pay the rest before the fifth day of your class. (The extra $7 is for the additional administrative work.)

What if I can’t afford to pay?

Our prices are much lower than other schools with small classes, but we are not free.  If you need help paying for a class, the Family Rescue Center can help intermediate and advanced English students.  They are located at 22103 Vanowen St, Canoga Park, 91303. Their phone number is  (818) 884-7587.  Second, West Valley Occupational Center (WVOC) offers free ESL classes.  But their classes are large, and students can only register during the first three weeks of each term.

Do you have gift cards?

Yes, we do.  Ask your family to buy you the gift of English. They'll love the idea of giving you something that will help you for the rest of your life! They can buy gift cards online or from one of our office assistants.
